Travelling with children changes everything: shorter drives, more breaks and activities that keep everyone smiling. This route uses Marrakesh as a comfortable base, with day adventures and one night by the sea, so nobody spends long hours in the car.

Child seats, flexible start times and stops whenever someone needs one come as standard. Just tell us your children's ages.

Day by day

1. Day1

   Camels in the desert

   Marrakesh → Agafay Desert~45 min driving

   A gentle start, then out to the Agafay stone desert for a camel ride and sunset. Stay for dinner at a camp or head back to your riad.

2. Day2

   Mountain villages

   Marrakesh → Ourika Valley or Imlil~1–1.5 h driving

   Riverside lunch, a short walk or mule ride, and the cool mountain air of the Atlas foothills.

3. Day3

   Waterfalls and monkeys

   Marrakesh → Ouzoud Waterfalls~2.5–3 h driving

   A small boat ride close to the falls and the Barbary macaques that live in the gorge, one of children's favourite days.

4. Day4

   To the seaside

   Marrakesh → Essaouira~2.5–3 h driving

   Through argan country to Essaouira: beach, ramparts and the busy fishing harbour. Night by the sea.

5. Day5

   Beach morning

   Essaouira → Marrakesh~2.5–3 h driving

   Kite-watching on the beach or a horse ride along the sand, then back to Marrakesh.
